Janelle-Wolfe

I was born on April 5, 1951 in Winnebago, Nebraska. I am the oldest of 12 children. I am from the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. I am from Thatada Clan which is the bird clan. My Indian name is “We Hay Tong Ga” which means big sister. I am married to an Omaha man, and on our anniversary on June 18^th we will have been married for 49 years. I have two sons, ages 51 and 48 years old.

I got a lot of encouragement and good praise from the staff while going to school here. Sometimes without that extra push from the staff, I may not have made it to graduation. I am forever grateful to them.

I make my home here in Macy and have lived here since 1970. I was born in Winnebago and grew up in Walthill, Nebraska. I graduated from the Walthill High School in Walthill, Nebraska on May 23, 1969. Again, I can truly say that my Mother gave me a lot of encouragement and pushed me towards getting my high school diploma. I love her.
